Caution: If you're changing an existing visualization, you are modifying every instance of it in Kibana.
A drawback is there are a limited amount of visualizations we can change an existing one to. For example, if you created a vertical bar chart and want to change it to a pie chart, you can't. You can only change a bar chart to a line or area chart since bar, line, and area are the three main visualizations.
You can do this by simply changing the visualization in editing mode. If you want to change it to a pie chart, you will need to create a new visualization.
