Steps

  1. Fork the target repository

  2. Clone repo

    • git clone “insert link”

  3. Create a new branch

    • git branch branchname

  4. Checkout the branch

    • git checkout branchname

  5. Develop and test on local machine

  6. Commit and Push local changes to Github branch

    • git commit -am “insert commit message”

      git push 

  7. Open a pull request in Github
