HySDS offers several job management options. After faceting on the desired jobs in the Resource Management Interface (called Figaro), the On-Demand button will show a list of actions and PGE’s that can run over the selected jobs (See #1 in image).

Inside the On-Demand window, operators can add a unique tag for the job (#2) and select the appropriate job management task (#3) from the drop-down menu labeled “Action”. After choosing the desired option from the Action menu, the settings for “Queue” (#4) are updated automatically by HySDS. Unless advised otherwise, its recommended to leave the “Priority” (#5) and “Queue” settings unchanged. Once the tag and job management options are selected, click “Process Now” (#6) to submit the task.

Lightweight System Job Types:

Lightweight system jobs are common to HySDS core, and exist across adaptations

Lightweight jobs can be found in the “Action” drop-down menu. They are used to help facilitate various job management tasks in HySDS. Below is a brief description of each:

  1. Purge Jobs - Removes jobs from Mozart and deletes any Elasticsearch reference.

  2. Revoke/Stop Jobs - Stops any jobs that are running.

  3. Notify by Email - Receive email notification when a specified job task is executed.

  4. Reprioritize Jobs/Tasks - Allows operators to update the priority of a job (via the parameters window).

  5. Retry Jobs/Tasks - Resubmits jobs for processing.

Note: Reprioritize Jobs/Tasks is not available in all HySDS adaptations.

Track a Submitted Job:

Once a job is submitted, it can be monitored by faceting using the unique tag created, or by faceting on unique identifiers such as the payload ID.

(see #2 in Figure 2 above).
